Relive The Excellence

The Gentle Way of Life in the Heart of Drôme Provençal

French women don't get fat!

Co-founder and former President and CEO of Clicquot, Inc. as well as the author of French Women Don’t Get Fat, Mireille Guiliano is crazy in love with Provence. Over a glass of champagne, she tells us why… and shares some of her favorite restaurant addresses.

Who is?

Want to know about L'Occitane en Provence?

Ever since its creation in 1976, the L'OCCITANE laboratory in Manosque - in the heart of Haute-Provence - has been developing authentic products with the greatest respect for people, the environment and animals.
The selection of natural and traceable ingredients (and particularly ingredients from the Provençal and Mediterranean terroir) - forms the very basis of formula-development methods. This unique approach has given rise to effective, pleasurable products that are a source of well-being and natural beauty.
L'Occitane offers many ranges of products such as an anti-aging range with Immortelle Flower, a range enriched with Shea Butter for de-hydrated skin, as well as a range of shaving products both purifying and antiseptic with the Complex of Cade Essential Oil.

Mireille Guiliano grew up in the Alsace-Lorraine region of northeast France, where a large garden supplied the family kitchen and nurtured her appreciation of food. Guiliano’s first book, French Women Don’t Get Fat: The Secret of Eating for Pleasure (2005), was written almost as a lark, she says, a response to friends forever asking how she stayed so slim.
