L'Occitane launches its make-up collection!
The new collection from L’OCCITANE is made from a flower named “the flower with a thousand petals”: The Peony! This brand new collection, greatly anticipated by L’OCCITANE, will be launched in selected Canadian boutiques and online on April 30th 2010. To understand the secret of this flower, L’OCCITANE approached a world-renowned French nurseryman, Jean-Luc Rivière – a man with a passion for peonies, whose family devoted itself to breeding and cultivating them for 160 years in the Drôme region of France.

The Rivière family’s peony collection boasts an extraordinary palette of shades. These have inspired a make-up range full of fresh and natural colours – reflections of real peony varieties and named after them.
The fragrance collection captures the subtle aura of the peony in a rich floral scent with hints of natural freshness.
Our fragrances and make-up products* are enriched with Peony extract that has been developed exclusively from Rivière peonies.

This pretty soap echoes the shape of a peony bud as it starts to open. Made with a botanical foaming base, it gently cleanses the skin and leaves it pleasantly scented.
THE MAKE-UP COLLECTION
When L’OCCITANE created this make-up collection, the company set out to focus on naturalness without undermining the “raison d’être” of make-up: playing on colours and effects, pleasure of use and performance.
All the formulas are paraben-free. L’OCCITANE has also restricted the use of synthetic pigments to 2% in each formula and silicones to 5% in each formula.
All of the products in the collection contain an exclusive natural peony extract* with softening properties. They also contain a mica powder coated with mimosa from Provence, so that the formulas glide on smoothly and feel comfortable on the skin.
